Description


IPsec (IP security) is the security extension for the IP protocol. It is heavily used in order to ensure secure private communications over untrusted public networks, such as the Internet.

It is a framework that provides enterprise networks the means to protect, verify and authenticate the data transmitted between two peers on the Internet.

This workshop is designed to walk you through the configuration steps for a basic site-to-site IPsec VPN tunnel to the more advanced features that provide ease of complexity and scalability.

Prerequisites

Students need to have:

  • Basic computer literacy
  • Basic knowledge of routing and switching
  • Working knowledge of ACLs and NAT
